Our view
Consider this if app-based feeder viewing is the aim and you do not need the Pro’s additional portrait lens. Check the exact solar and AI-service option before comparing the price.
Who it may suit
A household that wants a feeder-viewing app and can check Wi-Fi coverage at the mounting point.
When to look elsewhere
Not a shortlist choice for a garden without the required network connection, or for someone who requires removable-card recording.
Published facts to check

What comes in the package?
The series specification lists a feeder, camera, perch, charging cable and mounting hardware. Solar is an optional bundle choice for the standard model. Verify the current UK box contents.
Complete ownership cost
Add any solar upgrade, mounting extras and the AI option you intend to keep. Do not assume an AI entitlement includes every other cloud add-on.
| Period | What to include |
|---|---|
| First year | Current camera/bundle quote + missing extras + year-one plan, power and consumables. |
| Three years | Upfront equipment + three years of chosen ongoing costs. Allow separately for replacement equipment. |
Start with the view, then price the options
If your aim is to watch feeder visits on a phone, check network coverage and routine cleaning access before comparing lenses. The standard model is worth investigating when its single view meets your purpose; the Pro’s extra portrait view should solve a need you can name.
For a fair basket comparison, add any solar accessory to the standard package, then match the AI entitlement and chosen cloud services. Compare that total with the equivalent Pro selection. Keep access for charging even when you choose a compatible panel.
Questions before ordering
- Does the selected UK bundle include solar and the AI entitlement you want?
- Can the camera be reached conveniently for cleaning and charging?
- Are the free clip and download functions sufficient after any trial?
