The useful difference
Investigate camera-only if your existing box and accessories are suitable. Starting from scratch makes the complete kit worth pricing. The camera is the shared component; the buying question is the rest of the installation.

Start with an inventory
List your existing box, approved power equipment and recording card. Then mark which items are compatible and still needed. Reusing unsuitable components to reduce the headline cost can make the whole project harder to install.
Compare the cost of the missing pieces
Ask for the current total for camera-only plus each item you lack. Compare that with the selected complete kit, including delivery and any further equipment still needed. We do not assume the kit always represents a saving.
Resolve conflicting descriptions
The complete-kit contents explicitly list a 64GB card, while a generic FAQ on the same page says a card is not included. We rely on the named package contents for this comparison, but recommend confirming the order contents with the seller. “Complete” also does not guarantee Wi-Fi coverage at your chosen position.
Plan the timing
Check box suitability and finish the equipment installation before nesting begins. A kit purchase is not a reason to disturb an occupied nest. For a different viewing route, the wired TV camera is a separate system and requires its own compatibility checks.
One-year and three-year costs
Use current quotes for the exact options, then add missing accessories, chosen services and consumables. The setup-cost worksheet keeps one-off spending separate from annual costs. Electricity, batteries and cloud costs are not interchangeable between products.
